I provide a total development service which starts with a free consultation, followed by system specification, design, build, test then deployment and finally post-installation support. Deployment can include LAN & WAN based server hosted solutions as well as Internet and intranet deployment through a browser based interface. It's also important to brand and style database systems and make them visually appealing, after all you'll be looking at it for years to come.
Consultancy
Creating a database solution for your company doesn't just require excellent programming and technical skills. Taking time to understand the needs of your business, now and going forward is crucial. Creating a partnership process and understanding the depth of your IT infrastructure ensures the best system design is achieved.
Training
Courses should be based around your requirements so you don't need to worry about learning non-relevant skills. Deciding the curriculum and duration of the training is key and making sure it's pace is suitable for the people on the course. Co-development
Sometimes all you need is a helping hand. Quite a few clients develop their own database systems but struggle with the 'bigger picture' of design, creating relationships, web deployment and systems integration. I can advise you on possible approaches and review your development work in a "train-as-you-go" fashion. This could be on a structured or ad-hoc basis dependent upon the size of your system and availability of your resources.
Extending FileMaker Pro with Plug-ins
FileMaker has an open architecture design that allows third party plugins to extend it's functionality. There are hundreds of plug-ins available and my experience with them is extensive. Whether drawing charts, sending or receiving mail, linking documents or pictures to your database there is usually a plugin for the job.
