A lot of my clients are small firms without an internal IT department or the marketing/publications departments of larger firms that are Windows based with an IT department that don't support Apple's - or much care for them either! My experience with Apple dates back to before the Mac was launched in 1984. Since then I have seen every model come and go - played with them, tried them, tested most software and through experience have learnt what works - what's good and what's plain old rubbish. Oh, and I speak English too - I reserve the IT speak for other IT people. Although an Apple aficionado I'm a fan of Windows too and am equally happy working with both systems.
